Tigo CCA status light red or yellow: what it means and what to do
The light on a Tigo Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) shows the status of your monitoring and rapid shutdown system. Steady green means everything is working. Solid red means the CCA cannot reach your network or Tigo's servers, often because of a changed Wi-Fi password, a firewall or weak signal. Solid yellow means a warning, such as data not uploading or fewer optimizers found than expected. A dark light can mean the system is in rapid shutdown or the CCA has no power.

Common causes
- Solid red: the CCA cannot connect to your network or Tigo's server, for example because of an incorrect Wi-Fi password, firewall disruption or lack of signal.
- Solid yellow: the internet connection is not letting data reach Tigo, discovery found errors, or fewer than 75% of the optimizers were found.
- Dark: the system is in rapid shutdown mode, or the CCA is not getting power.
- Blinking green and yellow: PV-OFF mode was switched on with a connected switch, which stops DC voltage on the strings like a rapid shutdown.
- Alternating red and yellow: the CCA has engaged PV-Safe mode, which Tigo says only happens on systems with older optimizers.
Safe steps to try
- Check your home internet Make sure your router is on and other devices can get online. Note whether you recently changed your Wi-Fi name or password, or replaced your router.
- Note the exact light pattern Write down the color and whether it is steady or flashing. Each pattern means something different. Do not open the inverter, a disconnect, a junction box or any conduit, and do not touch the panels, racking or wiring.
- Check whether anyone used a shutdown switch If the light is dark or blinking green and yellow, note whether there was a power cut or anyone pressed a rapid shutdown or PV-OFF switch. Tell your technician rather than resetting anything yourself.
- Book a visit if it does not recover Reconnecting the CCA to a new network is done through the Tigo EI app, usually by your installer, and checking its power supply and wiring is work for a technician.
When to call a professional
Call if the light stays red or yellow for more than a day with your internet working, or if it is dark and your system has stopped producing.
Frequently asked questions
- Does a red CCA light mean my panels have stopped producing?
- Not necessarily. A solid red light means the CCA cannot connect to your network or Tigo's servers, which affects monitoring. Your panels may still be producing; the data just is not reaching the app.
- What does a steady green light mean?
- Tigo uses steady green for normal operation: discovery is complete, the expected gateways and at least 75% of the optimizers have been found, and production data is uploading.
- The light is amber right after a power cut. Is that a fault?
- No. Tigo says the light stays dark for about 12 seconds at power-on, then amber for about two to three minutes while the CCA boots, before showing the system status.
